Criminal Defence

Both David O’Meara and Michelle O’Mahony are members of the legal aid panel with both regularly appearing in the District Court, Circuit Court and Central Criminal Court in respect of both adult and juvenile defendants.

We represent people across Munster and are present at Mallow District Court at every sitting. Both give advice to those in custody and can attend at the necessary Garda Station when a client is in custody. We also regularly represent defendants at Fermoy District Court, Kilmallock District Court, Cork District Court, Cork Circuit Court and Limerick Circuit Court as well as other courts across Munster.

David J.O’Meara & Sons, has experience in making bail applications before both the District Court and the High Court.

The firm has extensive experience in the defence of criminal proceedings such as assault, theft and burglary offences, sexual offences and road traffic matters including driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, dangerous driving, careless driving, speeding offences and insurance and tax offences and European Arrest Warrants.

We also have significant experience in the defence of drug related prosecutions to include possession charges as well as charges of cultivation, sale and supply of drugs.
